Viva Baja Sur Foto Fest!

Welcome to the Baja California Sur Foto Fest, sponsored by Baja Life Magazine and Baja Tours. If you would like to enter your favorite Baja Sur photo for a chance to win $500 and a 3-night, 2-day all-expense paid trip to Mexico’s magnificent peninsula, then read on. To be eligible, images submitted via email must be in JPEG or GIF format, or as non-returnable, camera-ready hard copy (hi-quality color print or slide) and must be taken in the State of Baja California Sur. A brief description of the image, the exposure (optional) and the area it was taken must accompany each entry. Please include complete contact information with your entry including name, address, daytime telephone and email address.

HELPFUL HINTS FOR SENDING IMAGES via EMAIL: JPEG images are smaller files that load faster than GIF's, however both are acceptable. Please save your image at 72dpi with medium compression and a maximum image size of 5" x 8". All images larger than this maximum size will be considered ineligible and will be deleted. If this is too technical, just send us your entry via snail mail and we'll take care of the digital details! All entries must be received in our office at least two weeks (14 days) prior to the Festival dates to be eligible to win at each specific venue. The dates are:

1) La Paz April 28-May 5, 2002 (must receive by April 14 to be eligible)

2) Cabo San Lucas October 2002 (must receive by September 15 to be eligible)

3) Loreto November 2002 (must receive by October 15 to be eligible)

All Foto Fest entries received in time will be posted at the Official Tequila and Mariachi Festival Web site located at www.vivatequila.com. Winners will be announced at the commencement of each Festival and will receive their awards at the closing ceremonies. Winners do not have to be present to win.
